From birth to fatherhood, Arturo is surrounded by the violence caused by the Mafia in Palermo, Italy. Even as a child, he has a fascination for anti-Mafia figures, and for Flora, a classmate. He learns to juggle the dichotomy between a crime-filled environment and his need to live and love.
