Swift, Northcote town Clerk and author of “The history of Northcote: from its first settlement to a city”, Olinda is a brick Victorian house (built with bricks from the nearby Northcote Brickworks) with polychrome brick work on the façade, curved corrugated iron verandah roof, cast iron verandah posts with decorative frieze and cement chimney with rendered caps. Swift lived in the property for forty years.
