Eckhart and Bridgid are training to enter the big spring race. Sweeney asks to join their team, but they turn him down. There's no way, with his terrible limp that he can contribute to a victory. Then Sweeney discovers that Boss Mouse has set traps all along the race course. His quick thinking helps the team avoid some of the traps, but not all. Eckhart asks Sweeney to finish the race: he is their only chance. Sweeney limps bravely onward and passes Boss Mouse seconds before the finish line.
