When Alice's grandfather is taken into hospital, she moves into his cottage in Lyme. Joining forces with her friend Megan, the two go into business together. But sculptor Tom Carey is furious that they are renting the premises of which he was promised the tenancy. Though Alice dislikes Tom, she finds herself falling in love with him - much to her dismay. Could she possibly have been wrong about him after all?
