Although Betsey Johnson never planned on being a fashion designer, her exuberant style has rocked the fashion world for over 30 years. In the mid-1960’s Betsey was noticed for her quirky, home-made designs and was eventually hired as head designer of the hip boutique, Paraphanelia. She hit the ground running with her design career and never stopped, creating her own eponymous label in 1978. Her trade-mark look is now universally recognized for its fun and girly edge.
