Guido is a good-natured man in his forties with a gambling problem. He decides that the solution to his money problems is to rob a bank which he does with help from his girlfriend, Antonella. Unfortunately, things do not go as planned and Guido ends up in jail while Antonella makes off with the loot. While in prison Guido and against his will, Guido becomes embroiled in the escape plans of two lifers that have an unexpected impact on his life.
