Mental health nurses spend extended periods of time with patients and are able to contribute in a substantial way to the assessment of psychopathology. This training program, which focuses on the Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale, is designed to enable nurses to reach higher levels of competence in rating moderate to severe psychopathology in their patients.
