Participants from the four Commonwealth regions, themselves experienced in conflict resolution, got together last summer with workshop leader, Kathleen Cleland Moyer to upgrade their skills and knowledge of the mediation process. In the video, during Kathleen's short absence, the participants stage a mock mediation and feedback session to make the point that ignorance of other people's culture (or cultural misunderstanding) can become the underlying cause of conflict. When Kathleen returns she witnesses a "real" conflict (almost violent!?) between the participants and uses the opportunity to demonstrate some techniques on how to address inter-cultural conflict.--Kanopy.
