The Civil War has ended and James McCune has been offered work by his Uncle in the remote town of Norfork, Arkansas. James finds a welcoming, close-knit community, where Black men like himself are treated equally... but the townspeople also live behind a huge wall designed to protect them from the ghosts that lurk in the woods outside. The longer he stays, the more James realises that there's more to this Utopian paradise than meets the eye.
