This video shows how the most appropriate materials and methods of manufacture can be selected to produce a quality product at a minimum cost. The program examines four different methods of pump body production: Hot chamber die casting Cold chamber die casting Sand casting Injection moulding of plastics The program also highlights the various tools and ploys that can be used during the design stage. This program is particularly useful for courses in materials, manufacturing processes and design. Originally produced in 1992 and re-mastered in 2012.
