419 High Street Northcote, Austral Hall

Digital image of 419 High Street Northcote. The Austral Hall was one of several privately owned halls that were established in Darebin during the twentieth century. The building is an inter-war rendered brick building with a large arched central window flanked by lead lit double hung windows. A bordered parapet has writing that says “The Austral 1925”. The image also shows a row of inter-war shops & residences to the left of the image.
