Barunah was built in 1892 by Fredrick Harris a former Preston Shire President and owner of the Builders Brick and Tile Company in South Preston. This image shows the foyer from the balustraded cedar wood stairway. It shows the foyers diamond shaped tiled floor, high arched architrave supported by classical pillars, decorative cornices and entry with arched coloured leadlights.
