Digital image of Trescowthick House, Old Heidelberg Road Alphington, garden view. Built in 1911 by boot manufacturer Charles Trescowthick, the house is a single-storey red brick, Edwardian villa with a hipped and gabled slate roof, half-timber half roughcast rendered gables, bow windows with leadlight highlights, a return verandah with cast iron fretwork frieze and tall red brick chimneys with roughcast rendered caps and terracotta chimney pots. A distinctive ogee-roofed turret penetrates the north-east corner of the roof. The building later formed part of the preparatory school of the Christian Brothers' Parade College, and now forms part of Alphington Grammar School.
