6-8 Francis Grove Thornbury, Benvenula, street view with hedge

A series of digital images of 6-8 Francis Grove Thornbury, Benvenula, street view with hedge. Built in 1885 by tannery owner and Northcote Mayor Thomas McLean. This is a large Italianate style house with slate roof, paired exposed eaves brackets, a square tower with corrugated iron balustrade and four chimney shafts with moulded caps at each corner. The neighbouring house is also visible. The house has undergone a number of additions since it was first constructed.
