Blank gold embossed invitation to the ceremony of the proclamation of Northcote as a city. The card reads: "The Mayor of Northcote and Mrs. S. Dennis request the honour of the presence of [ __________ ] at the Ceremony of The Proclamation of Northcote as a City by His Excellency the Honourable Sir Arthur Lyulph Stanley, K.C.M.G. Governor of Victoria, At the Town Hall, Northcote, On Wednesday, 27th May 1914, at 3 o'clock. An immediate answer, addressed to the Town Clerk, Northcote, is especially requested, on receipt of which Entree Cards will be forwarded."
